Snow Flaky

Howdy folks. Here I am again with some fantastic new pictures. I have a better one of Fang...I mean Ian. He's still cute.

We finally had our first snow on Monday, we had a lot of fun with it. We shoveled and made a snow man, and pushed Ian into the snow. Mwa hahahaha. I know he was having a good time because he cried when it came time to bring him back in. I have included pics of Daddy and Ian and also our Crazy Snowman. Ok, he's not that crazy. He's kinda boring. But he melted already. It has since resnowed and it has just occurred to me I am going to find a rotten carrot on my front lawn in the spring. Oh well. Fertilizer I guess.

We also went to see Santa. It wasn't too much of an ordeal. Ian did not cry, but he did try to get away. In the end the pic is taken next to Santa not on Santa's lap, and I can't believe how big he looks! Especially if you go back and compare him to last year.
We put up our tree yesterday as well. Ian "helped". He actually didn't hurt it much. We set it up last night right before Ian went to bed, so today will be the real test. We left off the glass ornaments this year, everything we put on the tree is unbreakable. We also used our fake tree because we didn't want the extra work of a real one this year. We are busy enough as it is.

Ian has a play date today. He's quite the playa, what with his girlfriend Sydney and now he's got a date with this Alyssa. Anyway, we're going over there later today for som Mommies Time and they can play a bit too.

In other news, last week I achieved my Infant and Child (and adult) CPR and First Aid. So I am practically a doctor now. Ha ha. Anyway, I am in the process of getting qualified to become a home daycare so I can stay home with Ian starting in January or February. I will be taking in 1 or 2 other kids and with the money I will save on taking Ian to a babysitter I should break even. This sudden career change was prompted by my amazing and wonderful babysitter deciding to move to Moncton. I have a new one lined up for January but I am hoping to get him out of there quickly and keep him home with me.

Well, I am off. I of course have included lots of pics and a link to some videos. If you check my wierd list on the left you will notice some new items of interest. My particular fave is the Indian music video. I am also decorating for Christmas and I think I will put some music on. Hope you like it!

Dragon this year, Pirate Next!

Well I have lots to say today. I don't know where to begin. I guess I will start with halloween. Ian did really well trick or treating. He had a great time. He stomped up each step and knocked. He did not hold his little pumpkin or say Trick or Treat but he did put out his little hand and put his treats in his little pumpkin. He was a really cute dragon. He ate his little chips and he had some of the chocolate bars and one sucker. Not all that day. Over the last couple weeks. Other than that, Travis and I ate it all. That's why we're fat. Well not because of this one thing. But because of a lifetime of bad habits. I have some pics of Ian in his Halloween costume and also our Jack o lantern.

Anyway, I am trying to be chronological but the really big news happened today. Ian was standing on the radiator looking out the window, and he fell off, and knocked his front tooth out. so that's why he's gonna be a pirate next year. I called the dentist already. I guess it happens all the time. It will grow back. In like 6 years. Oh well. I am really not that upset about that as the same thing happened to my sister when she was little. And she turned out all right. She's not a freak or anything. Trav was really upset. I told him so what it just means that he will have to take hockey lessons instead of saxophone lessons. I have a picture of Ian taken a couple days ago with a big smile and one from today. You can't really see it in the pic from today, but believe me it's pretty gross. I will try and get a better one in a few days or so.

In better news, I have a pic of the last xstitch i finished. I actually did it a while ago but I just framed it and tried to give it away. It keeps ending up back here though. I am also finished another one as well for a friend, pics will follow. And I am really churning out the dishcloths. I also made myself a tea cozy. I think I may have put that up here already but I can't go back to the main page and check it right now so I will just go ahead and post another pic.

So I better post the pics and run, I want to watch heroes with my full attention tonight. I will try to be more faithful to my blog. I also want to update some of my lists and stuff and get the place ready for the holidays. But then again, I always say that.

Pumpkin Trip

MSN Spaces is giving me a hard time lately. I am looking into other options. In the mean time here are some pics from when we took Ian to get pumpkins and we went to the zoo in the valley on Oct 15.

I knitted something!!!

And boy is it fugly. I made this dishcloth, it is the first thing I ever knitted. I am not having much luck with anything else though!

Ian has a girlfriend! Her name is Sydney and she's about 10 months old I think. I ask him who he played with today, and he says "ninney". So they're an item. He gives her a kiss each morning when I drop him off. It's cute.

In other news, Nova Scotia has finally allowed Sunday Shopping! Woo Hoo! So no more braving huge crowds on Saturday to pick up groceries. And not just groceries, but the province has gone Whole Hog and enabled all shopping, so malls and Walmart and Home Depot will all be open. And none too soon. I blame the lack of Sunday Shopping for my partially water-sealed deck. We began water sealing it on a Sunday after having purchased a gallon of Thompson's Water Seal on Saturday. We ran out halfway across the deck and of course, it being Sunday, we could not purchase a gallon of Thompson's Water Seal to do the rest. So it remains half finished to this day. Maybe this weekend.

Any Hoo, here's a pic of my scabbidy old wash cloth. Please no orders for more. It will take a week for my wrist to recover from this one!

Snip Snip

I finally took Ian for his first haircut. Check him out! These pictures are from the last few weeks and they include a few before pics, his actual haircut, some after pics, and a few spares as well. My particular favorite is the pic of him as the Trailer Park Baby, no shirt, sweats, and one sock. We're classy here!

Shocking and appalling

I had to post script this but OH MY GOD the show I was watching just ended while i was sitting here and I saw the most appalling piece of crap ever put on tv. In the 15 seconds i watched the show I was horrified to see Carleton from Fresh Prince, Michael from Queer as Folk, and Cheech Marin (among others) sing out an uber-crappy cover of something in an American Idol style competition. Yes, it was Celebrity Duets, and yes, I want to stab my eyes and ears out with an ice pick. Oh. My. God.

Toddler-Iffic!

Some exciting events: Ian's first beater; Ian's first back pack, (with the cat next to it for size comparison) Trav's birthday, Ian the musician (check out his first music video, only on Iandotcom!) Some pics hijacked from Jenni's blog, Ian mad, Ian happy, and also, Ian just plain cute! I wish I could write more, but I work a lot. I think I am going to find another job so I have more time to spend here (and hopefully more money too)
