Oh yeah. I know. You don't have to tell me.

At first, it was just that I was busy getting ready for Travis to come home. Then he got home. Then we did all kinds of fun family things together. Then it was just so much to put and so overwhelming that I just kept coming up with excuses to not blog. But Trav is back at work again now and I really can't think of anything better to do. (Plus I need to make bread today and this is better than that.) So here I am. I will try to get everybody caught up. After that, I can't guarantee anything because we are going on holidays and will be bouncing from house to house. But we shall see.

Anyway. Here goes. First of all, here is about two thirds of the canning I did. The rest is in boxes because I couldn't get it all in the pantry:

004

Ian and I went to the Maritime Fall Fair, where he went for a pony ride:

005

And another pony ride:

013

And a Dragon ride:

017

On Thanksgiving we saw a monstrously huge spider:

036

There was a witch/little girl battle:

048

We saw a King and a Princess:

049  051

Then I made a toque out of the yarn I spun. I sent it to my sister, who will hopefully post pictures on her blog of the toque in action.

Ian took a bath:

008

We got ready for Daddy to come home, which involved a poster:

011

And a cake:

010

It was cold, so we put our shirts on over our coats...Sexy!

013

Ian was very excited to see Daddy:

024

Big hugs!

029

We went for pumpkins in the Valley:

 011

We stopped and saw some kitties:

012 015

Ian shared a meal with a Deer friend:

020

We met an irate owl:

029

Ian and Daddy made tracks. Daddy was impressed enough that he wanted lots of pictures:

090 101

We saw a raccoon brushing its teeth:

049

I made snotty faces while knitting hats:

050

We dressed up the cat for Halloween (it made her really happy):

094

We dressed Ian up as a python, and look at the nifty Jack-o-Lantern:

095

The lady says: "My, aren't you a cute lizard!" and Ian replies: "I am a nake, actually."

097

Trick or treating with some random kid:

098

I learned to decorate cakes (a little.)

 060

And I made this flower out of playdough. Yep, I was proud enough of my playdough flower to take a picture:

062

I went to a craft show, I did pretty good with the dishcloths, hats, and syrup. Nobody wanted the coasters, though. I think Auntie R did pretty good with her stockings and Papier Mache kitties too!

063

A closer look at the hats: I made them out of Bernat Alpaca, from my own pattern:

064

Ian and his cousin got a new house:

102

And we got a new TV and assorted accessories totalling $Way Too Much$. But it was Trav's deployment present to himself (and Christmas and Birthday too!!) so it's all good:

107

It snowed once:

066

Then it snowed again:

113

I knew husbands were good for something:

110

And Ian wrote a letter to Santa. I helped, but he signed his own name!

 116

Yes. My boy is brilliant!!

You know, that wasn't so bad. I don't know what I got all worked up about. See you later!
