I don't listen to much Jazz music, but I like this. It makes me want to learn to play a bass so I can play in tiny dingy clubs at night and wear sunglasses and hang with really cool artsy people.

Except I can't read music. Or play the bass. And I don't really want to start smoking, because if you are going to play jazz music on a bass in tiny dingy clubs, you have to smoke while you are doing it.

Oh hey.... Even when I actually just want to eat cookie dough and watch tv. And the baking part is just kind of an annoying inconvenience to me, so I just make two pans full of big cookies and stick them both in the oven at the same time and take some dough and go watch the tv. And I forget to set the oven timer and burn the whole batch.

I wish I could be a little girl forever.

When I grow up I am going to drive a car wherever I like. Cool places like road trips and holidays.

And places like work, and home, and grocery shopping, and work, and home, and grocery shopping, and the ga$ $tation, and to the dealer$hip for tire$ and oil change$ and oh, it needs a new tran$mi$$ion you $ay? And how about the battery dies and I decide to jump it with my van and set both vehicles on fire at once?

I wish I could be a little girl forever.

When I grow up I am going to buy cool things like cups and plates to put in my own kitchen cupboards wherever I want.

Only it seems like the only things I buy go either in the laundry room or the fridge. And in order to put stuff in the fridge I need to clean the icky stuff out of the fruit drawer. And then I look down at my tubby self and decide that this week, I will definitely eat the fruit I bought.

I wish I could be a little girl forever.

When I grow up, I will be able to read as long as I like and nobody will tell me I have to stop to go to school or eat supper or do the dishes or anything.

And every time I read for a while the boy gets cranky because he's been watching TV all day long and the husband gets cranky because I am not paying any attention to him and sometimes I wonder if I aimed this book just right if I could knock them both out with one shot... but it doesn't matter anyways because I have to go to work.

I wish I could be a little girl forever.

When I grow up I am going to have a baby just like my doll that I can dress up and lay down in its crib and cuddle and burp.

And I can change his diapers and poo will squirt all over the place and he can cry all night for no reason. And as soon as he learns to walk he can knock his teeth out on a window sill and then one night he can puke all over his bed so I clean him up and put him in my bed and he pukes all over my bed too so we go sleep on the couch and he pukes all over that too but it's ok for daddy because he's sailing that week. And when he's bigger he can push the hazard button in the car which causes the battery to go dead which prompts me to try and boost it with the van. And then he can natter on endlessly about what's 8 plus 2 and doesn't a 2 look like an upside down 5 and also doesn't a 6 look like an upside down 9 and how do houses turn into rocket ships and please stop talking for five minutes please. And then he snuggles up to me, and winds his arms around my neck and says I love you mostly all the way to the whole sky and gives me a kiss right on the lips.

I wish he could be a little boy forever.

Productive Day!

Yesterday I received the RHSS Whip box from my wonderful friends at Post Mortem over on Ravelry:

Included was one (1) RHSS (Red Heart Super Saver) Whip:

I removed some lovely vintage craft magazines* from the box:

And scored some awesome yarn. Stupid strawberries. Why hasn’t Monsanto genetically modified some high bush strawberries yet?

Anyways. I also froze a bunch of them and dried another pile. Altogether 12 quarts of strawberries passed through my house yesterday.

Today, I am so tired, I sat down to knit. But I finally had to accept the fact that the sock I am working on would not fit any human foot, so I had to frog it back about 4 inches. And it is in this irritatingly fiddly herringbone pattern too. So I actually got a negative amount accomplished today! Woo hoo!

*I haven’t read through them all yet, but I have to say I enjoyed the recommendation in the one I have read to apply DDT to keep moth larvae out of your pear trees…. I got a job at an amusement park but the hours were unreliable and it was only for the summer, so I looked for another job. Looking for work is never fun, but luckily I did get a job.

So I am dealing with starting a new job, dealing with child care issues, and then quitting another job. That part was hard because the park owners are really nice people and I hate leaving them in the lurch like that.

I have been working but as of yet, no paychecks. And we have things all over the house that need fixing, the car needs repairs, and now the new washing machine is not draining and I can't figure out why. Which particularly sucks because I now have dirty work clothes!

Plus on top of all that, we have a spare room that is basically a storage depository, and a whole bunch of guests coming in August. Now, I don't want people to feel bad about coming, it is great that they are and we are looking forward to it! The room would not get emptied without this prompting, so it is a good thing, but still, that is a lot of stuff to get rid of. Maybe I need the Clean Sweep guys to come....

Canning season is about to start, and I don't know how I am going to find time to do that. And my potted deck garden is getting big, but I haven't put it outside yet. Ian needs to get into swimming lessons, and we need to find the cash for that. And we need to go to the dentist as well.

Even my knitting is stressing me out because I seem to be acquiring yarn at an unheard of pace (surprisingly not by me purchasing it; I am just surrounded by wonderfully generous people!) and I don't have the time to knit it!

I also have parcels to mail out that I haven't gotten around to preparing, let alone mailing. And so on and so on and so on....

Whew. I don't think I mentioned everything.... but I feel better for getting that off my chest! I really need to get back into posting here more often. I like having the record of events available for perusing later on.

Now... what to have for supper?

So Excited!

I am so looking forward to Christmas. I can't wait for Ian's first Christmas. Just to let everybody know, I will be broadcasting live Ian on MSN on Christmas Morning. So if you have MSN messenger set up you can watch. Of course, it will be pretty early here, but oh well. You all have the opportunity.

I picked up my purse today. Everything still there. Whew! Then I made my perogy dough and the scalloped potatoes. I just need to make the dough into perogies. Lousy job. I might have to do that tomorrow. We'll see.

I am very busy tomorrow, so probably no post. I will be sure to get one in on Christmas evening or Boxing Day morning with a ton of Ian Pictures. Until then, here is one to tide you over! It is a picture of why diaper changing is sometimes more trouble than it's worth!

Prison

Yes, we have imprisoned our child. What a great idea. We bought him a play pen. So now I can put him somewhere safe while I cook supper or whatever, and he has a bed to sleep in if we go somewhere. Best thing I ever got. We also picked up some safety latches for the cupboards and plastic plug in covers as well, and a battery charger so we can recharge the camera batteries instead of always buying AAA batteries. We also decided to keep the speakers I bought because they connect to the playstation and so now we have sort of a home theatre set up there. Not as good as a real home theatre but it sounds better now than just the tv.

I am gonna try to get Travis to take us swimming when he gets up. I had a dream last night I was swimming and it was a ton of fun. So I hope he will take us today. I will keep you updated. Until then, I better go feed Ian breakfast. All I can say is that i was really busy with my mom's visit and with work and all, so I just haven't felt up to it. There have been quite a few developments in the Ian Department. First of all, his walking is improving, he can go about 7 or 10 steps before he falls down, and he walks from the coffee table to the tv and other similar distances. Today I saw him walk over to a toy, bend over and pick it up, and then straighten up, all without falling down. Pretty cool!

He has also learned how to clap his hands. He learned that today. I was trying to get him to do it yesterday with no luck but today he just clapped his hands back when I clapped at him. It was so cute! I was very proud of him!

I also believe he is trying to say something. When ever he sees the kitty he goes "Heee! Heeee! Heee!". I think he's trying to say kitty. I am not sure. But he sure gets excited when he sees her and when I say "Kitty", he looks for her.

Travis will be going on course in May, so no more sailing for us for quite a long time. In other news, our good friends here will be definitely posted to the west coast . We will really be missing them. I guess that means there are going to be some more big lifestyle changes around here. We spend about every second weekend with them so I don't know what we will do. I am not happy for us, but it is what they wanted so I am happy for them.

Work is actually going pretty well, It has changed quite a lot since I left and not all in bad ways. I was really dreading going back but it is quite a bit easier than staying home with Ian. There sure aren't a lot of minutes in the day, though!

So I tried to make a video of Ian clapping today, or a video of him walking around and around the living room chair, but he wouldn't do it when I tried to video him. My mom taught him to smile for the camera, so every time I try to video him he stops whatever he is doing and smiles. Very cute for photos but inconvenient for taping of new baby tricks. But I will have a go at it again tomorrow. Until then, here is a good one I got of him smiling for Mommy!

Pumpkin Trip

MSN Spaces is giving me a hard time lately. He deserves it for what he did to me last night. We decided to play Risk. BIG mistake. I don't know why I always do that to myself. I actually thought I was doing pretty well for myself until all at once he gets like 30 guys on one turn and takes over the whole world. I was nice. I said Good Game and Well Done, but really I wanted to throw the board in his face. And make him pick up all the tiny little people off the floor. But I didn't. Because I am the master of self control, hahahaha.

I dozed off this morning. Another big mistake. Ian was playing with his toys and I just fell asleep. I woke up to a huge crash. I have a lamp that has plants on it on these little shelves. He pulled the whole thing over. I lost so much potting soil into the carpet I actually had to get more dirt today. So he's sitting there crying with dirt all over (I had no sympathy) and so I dust him off and put him by his toys again. I blocked him in with a chair so he wouldn't get in the dirt. Then I start fixing the plants. Somehow he got around the chair and behind my back without me even seeing and pulled the lamp over AGAIN!!! Luckily no plants on it yet. He wasn't hurt but my oh my was mama mad. Oooh. So mad. I did eventually get it cleaned up and gave him a hug. He felt better. I felt better. Then we had breakfast. Hopefully he learned a little today.

I have really awesome news today. I lost my purse. Almost a month ago. I looked every where for it. I was just going to start replacing all my id. Luckily my cards and money weren't in it but all my ID was. I was in denial for a long time but finally gave in yesterday and accepted that it was lost after looking in the car and the coat closet about a million times. I couldn't even remember when I had it last either. But suddenly today it dawned on me that I had it when I went to the movies with Travis for our anniversary. So I called the theatre. And they had it!!! Yay!!! I have awesome luck!!! Anyway, I have been hearing from Travis for weeks about how dumb I am and how I always lose everything so I don't need to hear it from anyone else. So there. But you can all be silently happy (or relieved) on my behalf.

Ian had his doctor appointment today. He was really good. Didn't even cry for his flu shot, just a little squeek. My little man. And he was good while we braved the crowds to go buy dirt too. So all is forgiven here. I even let him watch BoohBah today, his very favorite show. Here is a picture of Ian watching BoohBah. I don't usually let him stand like that at the TV but I let him just long enough for the photo op.

Merry Christmas Everyone

Wow, my kid got every single thing Fisher Price makes. Everything. I swear. It was crazy. He hated Christmas. By the third gift he was pretty upset. All the paper and things we were trying to show him just overwhelmed him I guess. He had three naps today. He actually dealt pretty well with all the people here. He was pretty happy for the most part.

Here is some of what Ian got for gifts:
A sled from Grandma and Grandpa D.
Peek a block dump truck and some extra peek a blocks from auntie and uncle
Extra roll around blocks from uncle
Work Bench with hammer from Grandma C
Mega blocks cement truck, vibrating singing cow, stacking rings, and elmo sub from Santa
Linking beads thingy from grandma C
awesome sea puppets from grandsma D
wooden train from and story book from zack
truck to build with power tool and bob the builder with a jackhammer from zack
Clothes
Various other items as well

Dinner went really well. The ham was teriffic. I had pineapples and cherries stuck all over it. Very delicious. Everybody had a really good time. While it was cooking I took Ian for a slide on the little slope between mine and the neighbor's houses. He sure liked that. He was giggling. He was hard to pull up the hill. Exercise is good for me so that was good. I took as many pics today as I could but he was squirmy sometimes and I am the only one who can make the camera work right. So here are the pics I did take
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5154368344635802850" style="DISPLAY: block; He really didn't want to go and made me feel real bad about it but I didn't let up and I made him take us. Afterward he said he was glad he went and he had a lot of fun with Ian. I think I need a new bathing suit because I took a dive off the diving board and my top came off!! I noticed before I surfaced so at least I don't have to worry that someone saw my big mama boobies. Maybe I will get one of those athletic type bathing suits with the racer back. Nothing will get out of that baby! I also managed to swim 5 lenghts of the pool. I really need to exercise more. But it's a start anyway.

We are going to take down the old xmas tree tomorrow. It is shedding worse than I am. I vacume and vacume but still every time I put baby down on the floor he comes back up with a fist full of needles. They are soft needles but still. He might try to eat them.

Speaking of Ian eating green stuff, he had green peas today. I think he liked the taste but the texture was a bit tough for him. I blended it for a long time but it still had lots of bits of skins in it. Maybe I will mix it with a veggie he likes better tomorrow, like squash.

Something funny happened today. The tv was on and Ian was playing on the floor in front of it. Then the commercial for mcdonalds deli sandwiches comes on. The one where someone asks where the 2 chicks think the sandwich came from and then he says maybe this guy can tell you and suddenly Ronald McDonald shows up. Well as soon as Ronald McDonald showed up, Ian started screaming. No reason at all. He sounded like he does when he hurts himself. I don't know if he maybe pinched himself on a toy or something but it was pretty funny. But hopefully it doesn't happen again because he definitely doesn't need a fear of clowns!

Any hoo, here are some pictures of Ian in his new Prison. Mua hahahahaha.

Some Movies

We went to dinner at friend's house tonight. Not much interesting there actually. And today we took down the Christmas tree and gave the upstairs a very thorough cleaning. We vacumed up about 50 pounds of pine needles. We got Ian a ride on yesterday and I raced him around the house some. He really liked it. I will take lots of pics tomorrow.

I have not put any movies on here lately so here are some for you all.

Polar Express: Really cool. Shoulda seen it in the theatre. Lots of wicked rides and fun adventures. Sometimes the animation looked really real and sometimes kinda creepy and fake but in a good way. The conductor was odd it was like a perfect animated Tom Hanks. There was way more to the story than the book had and Travis kept asking if this part was in the book and I had to keep telling him that the book had like 12 pages so they made a lot of it up.

40 Year Old Virgin: Really funny. Not what you expect from the ads. They make it seem like just another one of them comedies but it is really well written and the dialog is great. The characters are a little different and the story is not the same as all them movies either. I don't want to say how because I think it may spoil the movie.

The Island. Another good flick. It didn't get enough credit. It was pretty exciting and kinda scary because of how they treated the clones. It makes you think about what is really going on and what you are being told about what you are purchasing. It also makes you think about what you would do in certain situations, what is right or what is in your own best interests. But hey, I always like these types of movies anyway.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith: Not bad, kinda dull I thought. Nothing much happens that you don't expect. A little witty here and there but didn't really blow my socks off. A major waste of a good actor (Brad Pitt). But I bet Jennifer Aniston REALLY REALLY hates this movie. Ha ha ha ha!

All links are posted on the side. For those of you who haven't checked any of the movie links out yet, I put the official website up if there is one and if not then the link to that movie on IMDB. Which by the way is the best and most important of all movie web sites!

As I mentioned, I will get some pics of Ian up tomorrow, maybe Ian on his new ride on!

The Pics

I don't know why they created a separate entry. Not that I get to enjoy any of it. But I am getting the bills paid. I have been working about 15-20 extra hrs a week. Basically, since I had my teeth pulled I have been working every night and weekends too. It sucks. But the good news is that since I can knit at work I have completed quite a lot of projects. I don't want to turn this into a knitting blog but I really want to show off my goodies. I am not going to post it in this entry, though. I will just make a little album on the side for it. I have made one crazy tie died toque of ugliness, 2 green toques of cozyness, and one stripy toque of unbearable cuteness (sized just right for a niece or nephew...woo hoo!) I have made 2 scarves of unparalelled fuzzyness, one with black and white stripes, long and cozy, and one that is hot pink with white undertones. It came out a little short. I would like to get more yarn and make it longer. I have a super cute sweater and hat set. Adrienne is hereby ordered to create a girl. And a blankie with a simple square pattern. I am now working on a Martha Stewart Poncho of Unparalleled Anger and Frustration. We will see if I tear my hair out or not.

Ian is doing good. Learning many new words including No, By the way, No, No, Phoebe, No, Tori (babysitter's kid) Dadaby (which means thanks), well, and no. Sigh. He's so negative. But he's such a good boy. I sure do lurve him. I haven't taken many pics lately due to being super busy. But I did measure and weigh him. He is 36lbs and 36 inches high. So he's 3 feet tall at 20 mos and weighs a bloody ton. Feel free to compare a measurement of 3 feet to yourself and be amazed at his incredible size.

I also wanted to mention a great movie we saw last night. We saw Running Scared. I heard it was really violent so I wasn't that keen on watching it but it wasn't worse than any other movie I have ever seen, like Pulp Fiction or whatever. Anyway, it was really good, kept us on the edge of our seats throughout with Amazing Twists and Shocking Revelations. It is pretty dark, and it is set in a world populated by the worst of humanity, but it does have good people hidden in it like, uh, hidden things. I guess. I couldn't think of an appropriate simile. My writing skills are dismal.

Anyhoo, Sunday Night TV is starting, I must run. Check the new photo album for Knitted Stuff. No peeking, Adrienne.

I'm Baked

I was so exhausted yesterday I couldn't post. I finished all my baking yesterday. It was fun but hard work. We got some really nice tins and bundled everything up for people coming for dinner. Tied with big bows. Lovely. Ian was pretty good yesterday. He had some long naps and we took him to the park. I forgot the camera again. He looked so cute swinging in the swing in his little snow suit with his cheeks all rosy from the cold. I will remember to bring the camera next time.

Today I have to make perogies. Then I guess I am done and can finally relax. Which is good because I am pretty tired. We rented 4 Brothers last night. I sorta dozed off half way through but when I went to bed I couldn't sleep. But I will be sure to go to bed early tonight.

Ian has a doctor appointment tomorrow. He is getting a flu shot. That should go over well. I'll let everybody know how it goes. Hope everybody is having a good holiday so far. I will put some pictures tomorrow. Until then, drive safe!

(editor's note: I really like the posts with no pictures, lol)

Taters. The first is visitors. We have had a number of visitors already this summer. Trav's grandparents stayed for a bit, and then my sister came for almost 2 weeks (shout out to Jenni) And I have been working extra hours where I can to make up for it. Weekends are spent on housework and summery activities like swimming and beach-going. I have also had the drama of losing my purse and guess what was in my purse... my digital camera. Sucks to be me. Trav is pretty mad at me for that but I deserve it for losing my stuff. I have replaced my ID and bank stuff and luckily my birth certificates etc were all in the filing cabinet, but alas, no hope for a new camera. I still have the Kodak Advantix which is ok I guess, I can record the Important Moments In Our Lives, but no pics, sadly. Now you all know what to get me for Christmas I guess.
Ian is the biggest water freak in the world. Luckily a trip to Queensland beach taught him a little caution. Every time we take him to any beach he runs right for the water and gets mad when you take him out, but getting knocked down a few times by icy waves of salt water cured him of that! Now he waits for me to go in the water. We took him to the pool on Sunday instead of the beach, and he waited for me before going in! I was so glad, it was much easier. He goes in face first, he isn't scared at all. I am very proud of him.
Summer TV is going ok. Sheldon was booted from Canadian Idol before the top 10, sadly, but he's definitely the most famous person in our Graduating Class! I am now fully behind Rob James. You go buddy! Wait a minute, he just sang. Meh. You should see out by Lawrencetown/Chezzetcook area. Nothing but Vote Chad signs in everybody's yard. I hate that guy. He is so smarmy looking. In Big Brother news, I am so glad all my faves made it in. I want Janelle to win but I love Will for his pure entertainment value. That dude is in control. I also have a Secret Crush on James. Travis thinks he looks shifty but I think he's kinda cute. I hope Erica goes this week because I hate under the radar players.
The rolling stones are coming to Halifax and Travis really wants to go. I don't think we will be able to swing it, though. Oh well. Such is life.
In other Ian news, he sure is a little chatty pants. He says Ana (banana) and tsis (cheese, or shoes, depending on circumstances) eee (kitty) yah (yah) and buh buh (boohbah, oddly enough. it does not mean bottle or big bite. it means boohbah. one of my kid's first words is a TV show. Sigh.
Well I wish I had pics for you all but sadly, I have none. Until the next time (hopefully soon) see ya later, alligators!

Dragon this year, Pirate Next!

Well I have lots to say today. I don't know where to begin. I guess I will start with halloween. Ian did really well trick or treating. He had a great time. He stomped up each step and knocked. He did not hold his little pumpkin or say Trick or Treat but he did put out his little hand and put his treats in his little pumpkin. He was a really cute dragon. He ate his little chips and he had some of the chocolate bars and one sucker. Not all that day. Over the last couple weeks. Other than that, Travis and I ate it all. That's why we're fat. Well not because of this one thing. But because of a lifetime of bad habits. I have some pics of Ian in his Halloween costume and also our Jack o lantern.

Anyway, I am trying to be chronological but the really big news happened today. Ian was standing on the radiator looking out the window, and he fell off, and knocked his front tooth out. so that's why he's gonna be a pirate next year. I called the dentist already. I guess it happens all the time. It will grow back. In like 6 years. Oh well. I am really not that upset about that as the same thing happened to my sister when she was little. And she turned out all right. She's not a freak or anything. Trav was really upset. I told him so what it just means that he will have to take hockey lessons instead of saxophone lessons. I have a picture of Ian taken a couple days ago with a big smile and one from today. You can't really see it in the pic from today, but believe me it's pretty gross. I will try and get a better one in a few days or so.

In better news, I have a pic of the last xstitch i finished. I actually did it a while ago but I just framed it and tried to give it away. It keeps ending up back here though. I am also finished another one as well for a friend, pics will follow. And I am really churning out the dishcloths. I also made myself a tea cozy. I think I may have put that up here already but I can't go back to the main page and check it right now so I will just go ahead and post another pic.

So I better post the pics and run, I want to watch heroes with my full attention tonight. I will try to be more faithful to my blog. I also want to update some of my lists and stuff and get the place ready for the holidays. But then again, I always say that.

Ok so I do have some pics

Here are some pics from when I was out sick, Ian with something on his face, Ian's cute cousin, and the crazy bipolar warning that came with my new dryer. We went to Bish World Cuisine on the waterfront. You can read about the details here. I think I was a little uncomfortable at the restaraunt because it was so fancy. All the other diners were like 50 years old, with expensive looking clothes and nice jewelery. The parking lot was full of way nicer cars than ours. (We drive an Elantra) I felt a little inadequate, especially with my broken glasses on. They kept sliding down my nose making me feel very self-conscious. The dinner was very nice, however. Probably won't go there again though. I think if we wanted to do a fancy dinner again we would pick the Himachi House instead, which is right across the courtyard.

After the dinner we went to a movie. Much more our speed, (although we may have been a little overdressed!) We went to see Night at the Museum in Imax. Really good movie. We want to be sure to get that one on DVD. It was really funny, and highly entertaining. Ben Stiller was playing himself, essentially. He played the same character he plays in Meet the Parents and Something about Mary, that kind of bumbling, unfortunate character who keeps finding himself in uncomfortable situations and likes to lord it over small animals. The best part of the movie was the byplay between him, Owen Wilson as the tiny cowboy, and the tiny Roman Centurian. Those were definitely the best parts.

Not much went on here this week. I worked some more extra hours last week but I think I am going to relax a bit this week as I am becoming burnt out. So no extra hours. Maybe the next week. I hope I worked enough hours because I am going to have to finally break down and go to the eye doctor. Ian broke my glasses a few weeks ago, so I have been wearing really old ones I bought in 1998. They are so old and brittle one of the nose pieces broke off and so they are all lopsided. So hopefully at the end of the month I will be able to go. We are covered for a portion of my eyewear and optometrist but I do have to pay up front and that is a lot of cash to come up with when we are on such a tight budget. However, this is an emergency, so to speak, so I guess we will have to do it.

Oh well. Such is life.

We had been talking about going back home next summer but we really can't afford for me to take all that time off work, so Travis is going to go out himself. He won't be bringing Ian with him because we don't think one of us taking him on the plane will be very successful. But Trav has 25 vacation days plus we can probably scrape together one plane ticket, so everybody can look forward to seeing him this year.

In the mean time, between this and my dinner entries, I have been typing on this thing for like 2 1/2 hours so I am going to run. Hope you all are having a great February and I hope your Valentines Day was full of love!

Thief of Posts

Ever since we joined facebook we don't want to post blog entries. Neither does my sister but she got up the gumption to do it. So I am going to plaigarize her blog entry. I will make some changes to it so it is about me instead. Here Goes!

Facebook
This thing is evil, facebook I mean. It has taken me away from my duties as a wife and DRINKER. I wake up and check for FLEAS, and have realised there have been NO updates to my own blog as well as everyone elses since facebook has taken over our lives.
I woke up ONE NIGHT and could not sleep. I was HUNGOVER and was getting kicks from THE CAT to feed her as well. Not to mention...still itchy from this lovely HAVEN'T CHANGED MY SHEETS that I have on my BED, PILLOWS AND UM, UH, COUCH. (no worries, not contagious or harmful to THE BEDBUGS) that keeps me up at night. So I got out of bed, got a big glass of WINE, some BEER and yet ANOTHER green GLASS OF ABSINTHE (which I can't get enough of) and sat at the computer trying not to PLAY BEJEWELLED. I, now being selfless so the first time am realizing the sacrifices that means..no CHINKY CHINKY NOISES TO RELIEVE THE BOREDOM..I want VODKA, but I know that means MOMMA wants A PARALYZER (ech). Good thing for HOMO milk..at least I can JUST BUY THE ONE JUG and MOMMA gets its BOOZE. (besides a THERE'S SOME LEFT FOR IAN'S SIPPY CUP and its not so bad, and the SHAKES is gone!!!).
On the computer I stay till TRAVIS wakes up to go to work. He feels sorry for me, but I'm glad I didn't wake him because he has to NAP AT work this am. At least I don't and I work A BORING JOB WHERE I JUST GOOF OFF, so I can have a good long nap this afternoon.
One more week till another POST comes up here..I'm postponing it due to the aforementioned HANGOVER. I'm hoping it will be gone by next SEASON, which is also my birthday. I'd like to have a good RUMMY shot for that. We'll see!
Anyways I don't know how many people will read this due to the facebook epidemic, but I'll throw it out there to see!
Cross your LEGS for warmer weather soon! it's 3 AND RAINING right now, and after yet another dump of SUNSHINE last week, I sure hope we get back to the BEACH stage quickly! Its SPRING isn't it?!

Ok. I don't really drink that much. I have some red wine from time to time with meals but that's about it. But I thought it would be funny to change Adrienne's post to make it look like I'm a Booze Bag.
Hope you like it and it brings you a laff!

Happy Birthday Chrys

I think I already used that title. About a year ago.

Gak!

I've had this blog forever!

Any hoo, here is my update. I am working 14 hours tomorrow! Why you ask? Because it is time and a half ALL DAY and they were offering extra hours. Plus I get my regular pay for the day so the first 7.5 are DOUBLE time and a half. So I should be able to make, like, half my paycheck in one day, and therefore be able to avoid too many other extra hours this pay period. Yay!!

In Ian news, I want to provide a list of words he can say. I may forget some. I think I will add the list to the side of the blog over there. I have some photos too. The problem with photos is that I am pretty bored of the around the house photos, and I always forget to take the camera whenever I go anywhere. Boo. Either that or the battery dies. I have lots of pics on my phone but I don't know how to get them to the computer since stupid Aliant pay and talk doesn't allow mms or web access. Who ever thought I would actually WISH I was signed up with Telus??

So he's doing good. He had a bit of the sniffles. He also caught some kind of bug at the babysitters about 2 weeks ago. She and her kids wer feeling under the weather and one night he started crying in the night. I didn't go in there though because whenever I do he just ends up crying for like 3 hours and after about 5 mins he settled back down again. But in the morning when I went in he was all covered in barf. I felt really bad. I think I will feel bad about that until my dying day.

He was only sick that one time though. Trav caught it really bad and was sick for like a week. He went out on St. Paddy's day and came home with that stomach bug and he thought he had a really bad hangover but it turned out to be the virus. But for the first 48 hours he was swearing off drinking forever. Hahaha!

But they got over those sicknesses anyway and everybody here is healthy. Aside from the extra hours, work for me is going fine. I won a free tv the other day. They were giving away one entry for each extra hour worked over the weekend and since I worked 10 extra hours I got 10 extra tickets. And so I won a 19 inch lcd tv with built in dvd. Woot! (I hope it was for the hour I was in the Billing Queue and nobody noticed, and billing is closed on Sunday so I took zero calls and just sat there doing needlepoint. Mwahahahaha!)

Trav was all worked up about going to Russia in May/June but that got cancelled. He should be going to Norfolk/Boston coming up soon, for about 3 weeks. I am looking forward to it because he has not sailed in about a year, and believe me, having your hubby home all the time is not what being a navy wife should be about. I am really looking to a little Mom and Ian time (plus an excuse not to work any extra hours)

I also got new glasses. I don't have a pic here but you can check my Facebook because I am wearing it in that pick as well as the pic I have for MSN messenger. I got new glasses too. So now I can see you coming and hide.

I am pretty psyched too because my mom is coming to visit in May for Ian and my birthdays. Since Trav will be making it out there this summer to visit allayall it's nice to know that I get to see someone too.

Well I better run. I will try to get some pics posted and apparently we can embed video on here now (that will pick up the pace of this stupid site, I bet) So I will see if that works. Have fun folks!

PS: You have to host the video elsewhere. So I guess I will just keep linking to Myspace as I have been doing. Jerks.

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5156469932263280754" style="DISPLAY: block;
